Responsibilities: 

  • Manage a Team responsible for 24×7 network and system support and monitoring for business critical environments
  • Manage the operational support systems to proactively identify service impacting events relating to IT, network, and facility conditions
  • Serve as intermediary between technical team and senior management for the escalation of problems to resolution
  • Manage, coordinate, and communicate on incidents from inception to resolution, including root cause analysis; Drive continuous improvement to monitoring services and internal processes for resolution of support requests and production incidents
  • Stay current with new tools and techniques proactively staying ahead of the technology curve
  • Manage and coordinate Major Incidents to resolution
  • Prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high performance teams

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of five years of experience supporting critical infrastructure systems and/or managing a Network Operations Center
  • Be able to provide leadership to the team who are actually touching the keyboard. I.E. qualify what is a problem vs fantasy across the team and report to leadership as applicable.
  • Experience with the following NOC Technologies: (example four of five may be fine)
    • Nagios
    • SCOM
    • SolarWinds
    • Splunk
    • AppDynamics
    • BMC Patrol
    • Tivoli
  • Prior experience (not mastery) across the following domain areas is required
    • LAN/WAN/SAN
    • INFOSEC
    • WINDOWS/LINUX/SOLARIS
